Update

Okay, so I seem to have lost the blogging groove. I blame it entirely on the lack of light, so that I can never manage to take pictures of my projects!
I have been working on various projects - a mini quilt, a full size quilt, some projects with Michelle. I've also been totally obsessed with decorating the house. So many things that we can do, so many colors we can paint! We're also trying to find some nice rugs for our hardwood floors, some curtains for the bedroom, and going through the collections of artwork we've had for years to decide what to get framed.
Here are some of my latest obsessions.

Juggling clubs. Aren't these ones great? I can't really afford these ones, but I'm now trawling eBay hoping to get something somewhat less elaborate. The shipping is kind of high on such things.

Speaking of eBay - check out this display cabinet! I think it would be great in the entry way, or possibly for a small kitchen cabinet space. Its a live auction, so I'll never deal with it. Besides, the two jars on top are both cracked. Just as well...

A glass terrarium. We used to make these as kids, although with less elaborate jars. Given that we are at that horrible point of winter when everything is just mud and dreariness, I'm dying for some real plant life. We've even determined the perfect place to put it. I may need to also get a vintage bird cage to hang nearby. Have you seen the mixed media gardens on November Moon's blog? I like the paper mache and moss combination. (Raise your hand if you're surprised! Anyone? I didn't think so.)

This console from Pottery Barn. I keep looking at it, and trying to find something else comperable and am not really coming up with anything. It doesn't help that I can't get to real furniture places to spend time looking. The green is really appealing to me right now. The giant tub of orange tulips doesn't hurt. We do desperately need some sort of table in the kitchen to pile things on, and hide some of the random stuff that just piles up.
And just in case I think I need to collect more things, I can always check out the Organized Collection group on Flickr, which consistently demonstrates how you can make anything interesting if you have enough of them! I've started filling glass jars with some of my favorite groups of items, which make me smile everytime. More jars are necessary! And maybe more places to store them.
So that's some of what I've been doing. I know that I also owe some people emails. Forgive me for being negligent! I'm not at my best in December and January.
