Must sew more!
The fabric designers of the world have just got to slow down! There are so many wonderful things out there, and I am spending my days at a computer, not a sewing machine. Look at the fun things I have come across recently.
This is from a Swedish company, I think, called Sandberg. I found a site to order it for a mere $35/meter, which is bad enough, but the shipping costs are about the same! But I just love house motifs, and this one is so bright and colorful.
This one is from the more affordable and mainstream Andover fabrics. The designers are Abbott and Ellwood, who's jewelry I can recognize in an instant. I have one of their pins and adore it, especially since it also has a little cork stand for display when I don't wear it. This could be very fun. eQuilter has it, but with pink or black backgrounds only. I may have to try to find somewhere to get this great blue.
And look at the little bunny peaking out at me. Another Andover fabric. How cute is he? Plus, polka dots. Need I say more?
I'm not even talking about the amazing Japanese fabrics at SuperBuzzy and Kitty-Craft. I hesitated in the last SuperBuzzy update, and missed out on some neat stuff.
I think I might be spending too much computer time looking at fabrics.
I really have got to spend some more quality time with my sewing machine. Did I mention that I did give in and order a bunch of the Amy Butler Lotus fabrics? They are beautiful. I'm actually attempting to make a skirt for myself using some. I have had an aversion to sewing garments for a little while now, but I have got to do something to keep the fabric from becoming stash fodder. Let's hope that it fits!
